Campaign Coaching Timeline and Deadlines
The current coaching opportunity is for churches who are planning to conduct Capital Campaigns in the fall of 2011.

The first Campaign preparation coaching dates will begin in April of 2011.

The deadline for registration for this Coaching session is April 15th, 2011 unless that location
fills up with maximum of 8 churches. At that time registration will be closed.

If the total annual operating budget of your church is less than $300,000.00, your cost is $14,500. (not eligible for other discounts)

Coaching Cities, Host Churches, and Number of Hosts per Site

The first three churches to register for a Campaign Coach at each location will have the opportunity to host a coaching day and will receive a 10% discount. Contact PCC for details.

A minimum of 3 churches will be required for a Coaching site and a maximum of 8 will be accepted. We expect the actual number to be 3-5 churches at each location.

Coaching Sites will be determined based on the sign-up of churches. Once 3 churches have registered for a location, that site will be confirmed. Registration will be closed once it reaches a maximum 8. This will insure each church will receive individual Coaching. A limited number of Coaching Cities will be confirmed for each campaign season.

Potential Coaching Sites:

Texas: Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Beaumont, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Austin, Waco, El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo, Wichita Falls

Louisiana: Shreveport, New Orleans

Arkansas: Little Rock, Springdale

Oklahoma: Tulsa, Oklahoma City

New Mexico: Albuquerque

The first three churches who register for each site will have the option of hosting one or more of the Coaching Days. Host churches will receive a 10% discount.

There will be a total of 8-10 “Coaching Days” at each site in addition to the follow up Coaching Days over the 2 or 3 year giving period. Some of the primary six coaching days will involve multiple PCC Coaches coaching different individuals or teams.

Spiritual and Leadership Development

  • Every family will be contacted multiple times through the process of the campaign. Each encounter will end with the family being asked, “How can your church pray for you and your family”.
  • “Heads of households” will be challenged to lead their families in a family devotion for the 14 days leading up to commitment Sunday
  • Stewardship studies will be provided for small groups or Sunday School classes

A key component of the PCC Campaign Strategy is Leadership Alignment. Your leaders will be challenged to be totally committed to your church’s leadership, vision, and the project.

Will we have access to our Campaign Coach besides on the coaching days?

Coaches will be available via email throughout the process and all day on Thursdays for scheduled phone or video conferences.

Coaching Day 3 (Weekend Training to accommodate lay leadership)

Day 3 is a day of training for each of the 7 individual campaign teams. Each Communication team will meet individually at assigned times with Lawrence Swicegood to begin the development of the campaign communication pieces.

All other campaign teams will meet at assigned times with the “like” teams from the other churches to be trained for their responsibilities by a Campaign Coach. Each training session will last approximately 45-60 minutes.

Coaching Day 4

This day is devoted to individual meetings with the Senior Pastors/Executive Pastors to deal with any specific campaign issues their church may be facing. Typically these meetings last
1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on the number of churches involved at each coaching site. At some sites, this training may involve 2 days.

The evening of Day 4 will be devoted to training the phone teams from all participating churches at a central location.

Coaching Day 5

Day 5 is devoted to the coaches meeting with the Sr. Pastors and his staff for the final preparation for Kick Off Sunday and all other Sundays of the campaign. The coaching will include a week by week check list and a announcement list for each Sunday. It will also include a review of all agendas for all campaign meetings.

Depending on the location of the participating churches, these meetings will be held on the campuses of each participating church.

Coaching Day 6: First Follow Up Coaching Day

Coaching Day 6 will be held in January of 2012. It will involve hearing reports from each of the participating churches and the development of the first year’s follow up strategy. The strategy will include coaching on:

  • Developing the follow up strategy
  • Continuing to challenge those who made commitments
  • How to involve new members
  • Creative ways to keep your project in front of your people
  • The importance of keeping good records

Coaching Days 7 and 8

These are follow up coaching days that will be held approximately 2-3 months before the yearly anniversary of the campaigns. They will be joint coaching at a central location.

Additional “add-on” services offered by PCC for additional cost

  • Printing Services. Due to the volume of printing we do, often we can secure a printer for your material for less than your local printers
  • Creative Sermon Development One of the services PCC offers is assisting pastors with their sermon development. This will be available at a discounted rate for a limited number of participating churches. It typically involves the Senior Pastor and his worship leader coming to Dallas for a 4 or 8 hour session with members of our creative team.
  • Additional Coaching days at your church by PCC consultants at discounted rates.
